Eye Movement Desensitization and Repocessing (EMDR):
EMDR is a comprehensive therapeutic approach used for the treatment of trauma and PTSD. It incorporates many modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies.
EMDR is indicated for traumatic life events as well as for chronic issues of emotional abuse or invalidation that have resulted in negative self-beliefs, such as "I'm unlovable", "I'm not good enough", and "I'm a failure". It can also be helpful with anxiety, excessive grief, trauma, abuse, sexual assault, disturbing memories, teasing/bullying, performance anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional struggles. EMDR facilitates the full reprocessing of traumatic memories and disturbing life events, helping you to finally “let go of the past”, move forward with your life, and experience true healing.
Evolving Thought Field Therapy (EvTFT):
EvTFT is a psychotherapy approach that has its foundations in the Meridian System and Applied Kinesiology. EvTFT is a treatment within the field of energy psychology and can be used on its own or in combination with other therapies. This treatment approach is used to treat a multitude of psychological problems, and positive results are often seen more rapidly than with traditional talk therapy.
